Compare: is a level that focuses on the equation or "positive" level
Example:
1. Snake is a wild animal.
2. Tiger is a wild animal.
>>> Snake is as wild as Tiger.
>>> The both of them are wild animals. (This sentence does not use the formulation of the positive level / as adjective as but has the meaning of a positive level)

Contrast: Is a level that emphasizes differences. In this explanation you will be taken to understand 2 types of Comparison Levels, namely: Comparative and Superlative.

Comparative: at the following comparison levels, you must have at least 2 Subjects.
Example:
>>> Snake is longer than Tiger.
Superlative: at the following comparison levels, you must have at least 3 or more Subjects.

Example:
>>> Snake is more dangerous than Tiger but Lion is the most dangerous of all.

Example for compare and contras paragraph:
Living at Boarding House vs. Living at Dormitory
Living at Boarding House is different from living at Dormitory. If you live at Boarding House, you will act as the owner of the house because you are free to manage yourself without any supervision from people, it means you should cook your breakfast, washing your garment and filling bath-tub water by yourself. Here, you are the only one to serve and to be served, so there is no one to take an responsiblity for your living, but if you have a problem with the facility, you can contact the owner of the boarding house, to whom you pay the monthly-fee, to consult the problem. However, if you live at Dormitory, you will be instructed to obey the regulation given by the management handling, because Dormitory has its own way in educating the inhabitants. It is different form boarding house, it is fully under control with education management system owned by the dormitory. You can also have more friends to share a story, to learn in group, and to have fun together. Dormitory also helps you to study focusly, you do not need to cook because it is already provided by staff of the dormitory, so nothing distrubs you to study. Although both boarding house and dormitory equally provide you a place to live, but living at dormitory gives you more benifits than living at boarding house.

this is what I understand about our lesson today

Assalamualaikum Miss,

so we can compare 2 things using the example words if someone wants you to make a comparison to your friends or family, we could use the compare and comparison words.
this is the examples that I make.
1. I like not only fried rice but also fried noodles.
2. I love to compare my mom and her sisters, of course, their face similar to my mom however they are slightly different.
3. On the other hand, I and my sister have the similarity, both of us like to sing and cook.
4. to be the same as my brother, he just the female version of me like people said, however in my opinion we are unlike.
5. my sister similar to my father, both of them just like twins in real life.
6. in contrast to my sister, my brother looks similar to my mother, but he enjoys to sing as well.

compare and contrast is comparing two things or objects by using the word transition used in compare and contrast.

Compare is a form of statement in comparing the similarity of an object.
Example :
You and I both have a motorcycle.

Whereas Contrast is a statement in comparing the differences of an object.
Example :
even though using the car doesn't get rained on. however, using a motorbike is easier and is not stuck in traffic on the road.

Example for compare and contras paragraph :
European motorcycle V Japan motorcycle
The first part that can be distinguished between European motorcycles and Japanese motorcycles is the form of physical appearance possessed by Japanese motorbikes and European motorbikes. When viewed in European motorbike variants, most have large shapes with big motorbike class or sport motorbike because indeed most of the popular motorbikes in some European countries are large size motorcycles, although some manufacturers also have automatic scooter type motorcycles. When viewed from its shape, European motorcycles have a fierce appearance while various Japanese motorcycles do not show too much ferocity but rather give priority to a simple but still modern form. In designing the physical or exterior appearance of a motorcycle, European motorcycle manufacturers have more attractive shapes and give priority to details while Japanese motorcycles prioritize the main shape over the details. European motorcycles also have distinctive design shapes that feature a lot of modern classic style compared to Japanese motorcycles. The number of best-selling motor sports in Europe shows that motorbikes from European manufacturers are more focused on developing sport type motorcycles.

Compare and contrast is Compare and contrast essays are multi-paragraph compositions that explain ways in which two (or occasionally more) subjects are similar and different. In these essays, compare means describing similarities between the subjects. The essay on farmlife versus city would provide at least one paragraph on how people's lives in the city are like the lives of the people that live on a farm. Basically, the comparison tells what they have in common.

When a writer contrasts two things, he or she explains ways in which they are different. After completing a unit of study on where people live, students should be able to provide several details about how life on a farm can be vastly different from life in a city.
This is a sentence that lets the reader know the topic and the argument the writer is making. Something like: While city life and farm life have few similarities, city life provides the hustle and bustle of many people, distinct noises, and social opportunities that are different from that of farm life.

Example: How to write compare and contrast
-choose your subject
-Brainstorm Similarities and Differences
-Hone in on Your Main Argument
-Decide on Your Organizational Structure
-write an outline
-Proofread and Revise Carefully

Criteria contrast and compare: When making comparisons or contrasts, it is important to be clear what criteria you are using. Study the following example, which contrasts two people. Here the criteria are unclear.

Aaron is tall and strong. In contrast, Bruce is handsome and very intelligent.

Compare the following, which has much clearer criteria (contrast structure words shown in bold).

Aaron and Bruce differ in four ways. The first difference is height. Aaron is tall, while Bruce is short. A second difference is strength. Aaron is strong. In contrast, Bruce is weak. A third difference is appearance. Aaron, who is average looking, differs from Bruce, who is handsome. The final difference is intelligence. Aaron is of average intelligence. Bruce, on the other hand, is very intelligent.
