WRITING: PROCESS PARAGRAPH (1) 

A process paragraph is a series of steps that explain how something happens. Or it explains how to make something. It can explain anything from the growth of a malignancy to parallel parking to baking sourdough bread. It gives tips for conquering insomnia or for removing nose hair. Because such explanations must be clear, the process paragraph must be written in chronological order, and it must include a topic sentence that clearly states the paragraphΓÇÖs purpose. It must also include transition words and phrasesΓÇöΓÇ£first,ΓÇ¥ ΓÇ£next,ΓÇ¥ ΓÇ£finally,ΓÇ¥ for exampleΓÇöthat connect each of the steps. 

There are two kinds of process paragraphs: a process explanation and a set of instructions. A process explanation explains a process without assuming that the reader will afterwards know how to carry out that process. A set of instructions gives the reader step-by-step guidance. 

                                                                   

 The following is an example of a process explanation paragraph: 

How I Deal With My NephewΓÇÖs Obsessions. 

Some years ago, my nephew was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), meaning he often becomes fixated on making something happen that is impractical or impossible. Over the years I have learned, through trial and error, that by taking the following steps I can calm him when he gets into one of his OCD jags. First, I calm myself. I have to stay calm because at first sign of troubleΓÇöthat, for instance, he has become stuck on buying a cat we have seen in an animal shelterΓÇöI become irritated, even enraged. So I tell myself, This is not the end of the world. I tell myself, His fixation might go on for an hour, but no longer. After I am calm, I listen with a sympathetic ear to the problem. I ask him to tell me what he wants, and I let him talk as long as he wants. I also make a mental note to give the conversation at least ten minutes, even checking my watch to make sure that I do not interrupt (unless asked) until a full ten minutes has passed. Ten minutes might not seem like a long time, but when I anticipate ten hours devoted to one, apparently-trivial problem, ten hours that could be devoted to his sisterΓÇÖs needs (I sometimes baby-sit both of them), I am bound to be impatient. Sometimes, ten to fifteen minutes of active listening will solve the problem. And while he talks, I make sure to maintain eye contact, which reinforces the idea that my listening is sincere. If this doesnΓÇÖt work, I try to distract him by changing the subject. ΓÇ£Before I forget,ΓÇ¥ I might say, ΓÇ£did you hear the Mets are thinking of trading Reyes?ΓÇ¥ Sometimes this works; sometimes it doesnΓÇÖt. If it doesnΓÇÖt, and he is about to suffer an atomic meltdown, I have one more weapon: candy.

In my opinion and what I already read about the material is,
Process Paragraph is a paragraph to explain how something was made or running, in order to make perfect paragraph we used imperative tense and gave an advice phrase. In a common example, we used the process paragraph to write some food recipe and gives overview instructions.

This is my answer to the first exercise.
1. The topic is about how the writer deals with her nephew's obsession.
2. This examples paragraph is combination paragraph both the explanation and the instruction paragraphs. It explains what should the writer do if the OCD came out and give us instructions step by step.
3. A. First, calm yourself
B. After that, listen with a sympathetic ear to the problems.
C. Next, while listening to the problems, make a mental note and gives at least 10 min conversation
D. Next, maintain eye contact while listening
E. After that, if it doesn't work, distract by changing the subject
F. Last instructions, give them Candy

So, this is my answer and my Lil knowledge about Process Paragraph

A process paragraph is a form of developing an exposition paragraph that presents a procession, procedure, stages, or technical instructions on a matter. If the exposition paragraph describes information on a matter, the process paragraph presents detailed information about the process. Process paragraphs in their application often use chronological transitions between sentences such as the use of the next word, first, second, next, and so forth.

this is my answer for the exercise one:
1. The topic is about How I Deal With My NephewΓÇÖs Obsessions.

2. This is a set combination from explain and intruction 

3. Steps in the process:
a. First, calm yourself
b. Second, Listen with a sympathetic ear to the problem.
c. Then, make a mental note to give the conversation at least ten minutes
d. Next, make sure maintain eye contact while listening
e. After that, if it doesn't work, distract by changing the subject ΓÇ£Before I forget,ΓÇ¥ I might say, ΓÇ£did you hear the Mets are thinking of trading Reyes?
f. Last, give the Candy to him

Paragraph process about How to write an-email

First you login account in email apps or browser, Keep clicking on the plus, type the address to which the subject responds to the purpose of email, keep writing polite greeting or opening words and write clear email goals so that the recipient does not get confused with the email being sent the last time write a final greeting to end the email.

What I understand from the material above is that the process paragraph presents or explains detailed information about the process. The process paragraph in its application uses chronological words between sentences such as the use of the words later, first, second, next, and so forth.
1. How the writer handles his niece's obsession
2. In my opinion, the explanatory paragraph and the intrucsion paragraph two enter the topic

Exercise 2 :
Choose one of these topics and then write a process  paragraph based on the topic you have chosen. 

E. How to achieve straight A grades.
Getting an A on campus is a dream for every student. Besides you, your parents will surely be proud if you get good grades on campus and to get an A, you can apply this as your daily habits. First, it's good that you always pray before doing something, then later refer to the material delivered by the lecturer then make a small note, then if there is material that does not understand immediately ask the lecturer or be active in class, then after that, reopen the small note and then review it, make it a habit to do the task on time, and learn regularly about material on campus, so you can get an A.

In my opinion.
process paragraph is a series of steps that explain how something happens or how to make something. It can explain anything from the way to enrich vocabulary to overcoming insomnia to the procedure of operating a machine.
I answer exercise 2
How to start your own business.

To start a business you must first think of what opportunities are good and developing for the future and useful for life. example I want to do the business of wholesale rice business, first I have to take rice production from factories or community production. we must also have a large enough capital to start the business. and must open a strategic location / shop around the market or supermarket that many customers visit.
