Both Coordination conjunction and Subordination conjunction function to join two independent clauses.

The Difference are, Coordination connect ideas of equal importance, and subordinattion connect important ideas with less important ideas.

- Independent clause, a complete sentence that has a subject and a verb so the sentence can stand alone.                                           ex: -Susan forgot to set her alarm.                                                                                                                                                                      -She Overslept, -She was tired

exemple, In Coordination are using conjuntion "and" for equal sentence, and in subordination using "because" to connect important ideas with less important ideas.

example:

coordination: Susan forgot to set her alarm and she overlept                                                                                                                 Subordination: Susan Forgot to set her alarm because she was tired.

coordination and subordination use different connecting words.                                                                                                      Coordination use conjunctions and conjunctive adverbs, and subordination use conjunctions and relative pronouns.
