Coordination and subordination (penggabungan dua kalimat menjadi satu)
Coordination has to do with connecting of equal importance.
Subordination has to do connecting more important ideas and less important ideas. One sentence as an independent clause and the other as a dependent clause.
Independent clause (sentences that can stand alone) and dependent clause (sentences that require a main sentence and can't stand alone).
Conjunction for Coordination  (for, and, nor, but, or, so).
Conjunction for Subordination (although, because, even if, since, untill, while).

Coordination
I go to the mall. I buy a new pair of jeans. 
Digabungkan menjadi :
I go to the mall and buy a new pair of jeans.
Subordination
I let the lights on when I sleep . I am afraid of the dark. 
Ditambah dengan kata conjunction ΓÇ£becauseΓÇ¥ menjadi :
I let the lights on when I sleep because I am afraid of the dark.
