-          Coordination

connect ideas of equal important. The coordination conjunction is a word that connects words, clauses, or phrases in a positive, negative, or neutral way. In general, when talking about conjunction, we remember the acronyms (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, and, so).

-          Coordination example:

Coordination conjuntion: Susan forgot to set her alarm, so she  overslept.

Conjunctive adverb: Susan forgot to set her alarm; therefor, she overslept   


-          Subordination

connect important ideas with less important ideas.  Subordination conjunction word that generally connects certain situations. Based on the way of connecting, the subordination conjunctions is divided into time , place and cause effect relationships.

-          Subordination example:

Subordinating conjuntion: Susan forgot to set her alarm because she was tired.

Relative Pronoun : Susan,who was tired, forgot to set her alarm


-          Independent clause

It’s simply a complete sentence a sentence that has both a subject and a verb so this sentence can stand alone and that's why we call it independent as opposed to dependent, Example : Susan forgot to set her alarm.  Susan is an subject and forgot is a verb.
