Coordination & Subordination
Coordination has to do with connecting ideas of equal importance.
Subording has to do with connection more important ideas and less important ideas.
Independent clause ΓÇ£sentences that can stand aloneΓÇ¥
Dependent clause ΓÇ£sentences that require a main sentence and canΓÇÖt stand aloneΓÇ¥
Of these things have something in hascommon they both connect two sentences independent clauses. They both rely on using conneting words however the connecting words they use are different so with coordination you can use conjunctions or conjunctive adverbs and with subordination you can use conjuctions again or relative pronouns.
