Resume of Coordination and Subordination
1.     They both connect two independent clauses
a.      Coordination connect ideas of equal importance
b.     Subordination connect important ideas with less important idea
If we connect two independent clauses (a complete sentences that can stand alone and have a subject and a verb) with coordinating conjunction (fanboys), itΓÇÖs called Coordination. Coordinating conjunction use to show that these two ideas are equally important.
On the other hand, if we connect independent clauses with subordinating conjunction (although, because, even if, since, untill, while), its called Subordination. Subordinating conjunction use to show that one idea is dependent on the other idea.
2.     They both use connecting words
a.      Coordination use conjunctions or conjuntive adverbs
b.     Subordination use conjunctions or relative pronouns
Conjuntive Adverbs (also, besides, however, etc.) use to make ideas of the clauses is equal. On the other side, Relative Pronouns (that, who, whom, whose, which) use to make one idea of the clauses is dependent on the other idea.
